Birthday Day - Part 2 - The Birthday Party

After giving Charlotte her Jammin Jeep it was time to head out to the birthday party.
Jungle Jim's, here we come.

I think that the party was a huge success. Charlotte had a lot of loved ones come out to celebrate her big day. Jungle Jim's was just great. It allowed all the kids to run around and go crazy. We all ate Pizza and Cupcakes. Rode rides and played games.  Socialized and laughed. Over the last few days I have been thinking about the party, and it just seems so surreal. That I am where I am. Having a toddler, holding kid birthday parties.
I love it.

I have watched this video so many times. I love that she is picking at the frosting on her cake, and is looking around at everyone singing Happy Birthday to her. Clearly, all she wants to do it dive her face into the frosting.
This video makes my heart super happy.

Birthday day - Part 1

Charlotte's birthday was packed full. In the morning we rushed to eat breakfast, get Charlotte bathed, and ready for the 2yr pictures to be taken. See them HERE. After pictures and lunch it was near 2o'clock, and this birthday girl so desperately needed a nap since later we had a party to get to.
After a much needed nap, and a little before party time was gave Charlotte her birthday present. Steve was so excited to give this to her. He had it all planned out. Her gift was just inside the garage. So, we went out the front door and took her over to the garage. I love these pictures. You can see her walking to the garage, watching the garage door open, and then realizing what is just inside.

She got a Pink Jammin Jeep, and a new Olivia doll. In the beginning it seemed she liked the doll more. After all, Olivia is her favorite. Then the Jeep fun began She is so cute with it. Opening the doors to get in and out, working the radio. It took her sometime to figure out that you have to hold the peddle down and not just press and release it.  Once she figured this out she was all over the place. Down the sidewalk, on the grass, nearly into the rocks. She has yet to realize that she has to steer the car.

Birthday Week - Day 3

Again, another slow start to the day. We spent the morning playing and dancing around the house.

Later we met Grandma Jean for lunch. We enjoyed Sampan, Diet Coke, and a little shopping too. We had to cut the afternoon short since I had a dentist appointment. While there, Steve and Charlotte dusted off the wagon and took a stroll around the neighborhood, and enjoyed the warmer weather playing in the front yard. Once I returned home, we headed to Steve's office to pick up a forgotten item. Charlotte of course flirted and played with everyone in the office. On the way home the two of them got McDonald's for dinner.

Birthday Week - Day 2

Today Charlotte spent a lot of the day in her pajamas.I had an appointment early in the morning, so Grandma Bonnie came over watched Char for a little bit. We were a little off schedule the rest of the day. A late breakfast, followed by a late lunch and again, a non existent nap. We made a bracelet out of boondoggle and beads. She loves it.  I did manage to make dinner. Homemade Chicken Parmesan.

After dinner there was  gift from Grandma and Grandpa Nash that needed to be opened. She was pretty excited when we brought the box inside. They sent her a Tinkerbell Snow Globe. After opening she became frustrate because she wanted to get Tinkerbell out and hold her. It is a great gift.

Birthday Week - Day 1

Today was pretty low key and not too eventful. We had some errands to run, so we ran to a few stores where Charlotte picked herself out a present ( Toy Story bubble bath), and ordered her birthday cake.

After an non successful attempt at her taking a nap, she chilled in her chair watching a little Timmy Time.

The night ended with a bath, and an early bedtime for the girl .
