Charlotte - 22 Months
Another month has come and gone, and this little lady continues to blossom and amaze us.
Favorites: Her blanket and Glow Worm. Once the bottles were gone, she found comfort in these 2 items. We now take them with us everywhere and when she is sick or hurt ,they are what make her feel better. - Her Jessie and Woody dolls. She got these two for Christmas and I do not think she has put them down. They even sit in her highchair with her at meal time.
Food and Eating: Fruits and Vegetables. We are so lucky she loves these. Her new love is tomatoes. She does great with a spoon, and she does okay with fork. I think she gets frustrated with them sometimes and it is just easier to use her hands. Also, she is getting better about not dumping her food out of her bowl, or off her plate onto her highchair tray.
Words: She is really starting to get a good vocabulary. Her new words are "kaka", "no", "ouch". She is becoming very vocal, and we just love to see her learn and show us what she has learned.
Movies: Always a movie. No matter what I am doing, she will come and get me, hand me the movie she wants to watch and takes me back to the TV room. The last few weeks she has been all about BOLT. Almost to the point where I can not watch it anymore.
Baths: Loves, loves, LOVES. I too take a bath shen she bathes, since she is a splasher.
My favorite: She is now giving these loving tender kisses. If you ask her to kiss you she will not do it. She waits until the moment is right. She will just lean in and give you this sweet little kiss.
There are no words to express our love for her and we are blessed everyday with her huge smile and loving heart.

Ringing in the New Year

This year, like any other year. We went low key. We had a lot of snow and the temperatures were frigged. I was not going anywhere. My mom and Bob came over and we all ate dinner, watched Charlotte show off for Grandma and Grandpa, and played games once the the little lady went down for the night. There was something funny going on during the games. Bob and Steve somehow had all the right cards. My mom and I lost bad. The boys had to have been in cahoots.
It was a great night with loved ones and what a great way to ring in the new year.
