Drowning

I am so behind on this blog.  There is so much to update.

I started a new job
Charlotte started school (daycare)
Easter
Sick and Quarantined

Soon, I promise .
Things will get caught up.
But, until then. Here is a picture of Charlotte getting ready for her first day of school.
When did she get so big?

Achy bREAKY mULLET...

...is no more. This was not planned and totally spur of the moment. I had just gotten my hair cut, when we were all talking about Charlotte's mullet. So, I called up Steve to make sure that it was okay that I get her first haircut without him there. He was more than fine with it as long as we saved a lock of hair, which we did.
It looks a million times better, and I could not have not asked for a better stylist to give my baby girl her first haircut than my BFF Jessica.

( I really need to carry my camera with me everywhere I go for these spur of the moment moments.
crappy camera phone + a wiggling toddler = poor pictures.)

It worked

Doesn't this look comfortable? This is how we found Charlotte at 645 this morning when steve was leaving for the day.

This is my new favorite decoration. It is easy and cute. I ran across this "subway art" on a craft blog and fell in love with the idea.

I dont have a million decorations for every holiday, and  not much of a holiday decorator, but I can switch out an 8x10 each month.

It's simple, yet festive.

I'll take it.

Charlotte has been in a her toddler bed for a week now. And, I wish that I could say that things had gotten better, but it seems they have only gotten worse. She is coming out of her room much more often,  and getting up earlier and earlier. This morning she was up and roaming the house at 545am. Good things Steve was up, or who knows how long she would have been up alone. After 3 failed attempts to get her back to sleep we were all up by 615am.
Later in the day I had mentioned to someone about our morning events and they gave me great advice. Put a baby gate in front of her door. This way she can look out but can not get out. So, this afternoon we tried this since she has not had a successful nap in a week. After an hour of her opening and closing her door and playing in her room, she finally crawled into bed and feel asleep for 45 minutes. She also manage to tear her room apart.
