In Remembrance

For a few weeks now we have had a new flag pole without any flags. We found it only appropriate to raise our flags the morning of September 11th in remembrance of September 11th 2001. Our Neighbor Steve is a Marine Veteran as well is my Steve, so this was a something nice we could all do together to pay tribute to those who lost their lives on this tragic day 7 years ago. Today our flag hangs at halfstaff.

Steve was near the Pentagon when it was struck. He remembers vividly feeling the the ground move, the words people were saying when they realized what had just happened, and the total chaos and confussion that was going on.

****On a side note. I have a older flag pole that needs a good home. I would hate to just throw it away, so ...if anyone would would like it. Let me know.
