The ROOT of all our problems

Can you believe this? This is what the plumber pulled out of the pipes. Roots. Since our house is 50 yrs
old, the piping outside the house is ceramic, making it easy for the roots to grow through. It is a relief to know that I do not have to use my neighbors restroom tonight.
I am SO glad this was the issue, and it was nothing major.

Toilet

What a great way to start a morning. Not only was it snowing on my way into work, Steve called me as I walked through my office door and there was a problem at home. The toilet was backing up into the bathtub. Great! Not quit sure what happened, but Steve said all of a sudden there was a gurgling sound and the toilet was empty, and the bathtub was not. We are not sure what is going on, but it can not be good. I used the restroom this morning with no problems. We both took showers, and Steve even started a load of laundry. How does this happen all of a sudden?
We have a great family friend who is a plumber and is ALWAYS will to help us. He is out savior when it comes to issues like this. The only problem is he can not come over to the house until 5pm tonight. So, this water has to sit in my bathtub behind closed doors for the next 6 hrs.
I hope it is not a huge problem, and snaking the pipes will fix it.

I Voted

When I walked into my polling location at 8am, I was surprised to see there was a wait. What a great thing. People wanting to get out there and vote for the one person they support, and who they think can run this country. I feel so blessed that I live in a country where I can vote. Sometimes it may seem that my vote may not count, but I am glad I had the opportunity to vote.
By the way....I voted for Mitt Romney

SNOW

I love when I wake up to snow in the mornings and I see this outside my window. Everything looks so pure and clean. Thank goodness we bought the snow blower this year. I will admit that I was a little skeptical to doing so. My luck has always been when I buy items like this to make thing easier the whole reason for buying them disappears. I really thought it would not snow for the rest of the season once we bought the blower. Boy was I wrong. I can’t remember a winter when it has snowed this frequently since I was a child. Steve and I LOVE the snow. We only wish that if it is going to snow.....SNOW HARD
