Christmas 2009
Charlotte was so excited to see what Santa left for her. Just look at the smile.

Charlotte getting ready to see what was left in her Christmas stocking.

This has to be her favorite gift of the day. She has been playing with it non-stop.

Nothing says Merry Christmas like COACH.
After doing gifts at home we ventured over to Grandma Jeanie's for more Christmas fun. Here is Charlotte showing off her walker.

Grandma and Charlotte giving loves, and thanks to Grandma for all the clothes. Charlotte now has so many clothes. I will not have to buy her anything until fall.
We had such a wonderful Christmas and are lucky to have such a great family. This was a Christmas to remember.

Christmas Eve

This year Christmas Eve was a little different for our family. Missing family members, Change of location and 2 babies. What a fun and busy night. We had an awesome dinner, but like always I tend to fill up on the snacks, and then when dinner is ready I am full, but of course I still ate some. After dinner was a Wii playoff, where Lexi won. Brayden was content just lying under the Christmas tree staring at the lights, while Charlotte was all over the place. Later in the evening it was time for Christmas eve gifts where Charlotte received her first baby's Christmas ornament and new Christmas pj's

She stands alone.
Up
The other night Charlotte wanted to go bed about 5-530, adn I was not about to let that happen. We decided to get her all bundeled up and head across the street to look at all the charistmas lights. It was extremlly cold out, about 12 degerees. Needless to say we did not stay out too long. However it did not work. Charlotte was just too tired and was sound asleep by 645.

I know I say this every month, but I still can not believe that 9 months has passed since she was born. She has grown a whopping 8 inches in the time and gained a total of 11.4 lbs. She is so full of life, and brings a smile to the faces of everyone she passes.
9 months stats:
30 1/4 in long (99 Percentile)
19lbs 10 oz (64 percentile)

Turkey Trot
We did it !

On Saturday the 21st I completed my first 5k. It has been something that has been on my to do list for a long time. My dear friends Shannon and Jessica also ran with me. Well, Shannon ran all of it and me and Jessica walked/jogged. Either way we all finished. It was so cold and I was not really prepared. I only gave myself 3 weeks to get ready for it, and Charlotte was home sick for one of those weeks. Never-the-less I was determined to do it.

Here we go again
Poor thing is sick again. On Friday she had a fever which had gradually risen from 99.5 in the morning to 102.0 by evening. So off to the instacare we went where we were told she had a virus, and there was nothing we could do. Over the next few days her temperature really fluctuated anywhere from 100.00 to 103.2. Sunday her fever had broken, and has not had a fever since. I thought we were in the final stages of her being sick.
I spoke too soon.
Monday morning I noticed she had a few spots on her stomach. Just thinking it was some heat bumps and nothing more, we went to the gym as we do every morning. Well, by the time we got home she had a full blown rash on her torso and back, so off to Dr. Montgomerie's we went, and the verdict is.....Coxsackievirus. This is a form of hand, foot and mouth disease. Although she has no sore on her hands and feet, her throat is swollen with canker like sores. Poor thing. She has been extra fussy and clingy. She is constantly climbing me and I cannot go more than a feet from her with her crying. This should clear on its on in the next few days, but it seems we are on lock down here since she is contagious. Oops about going to the gym. I hope none of the kids there get sick.

Charlotte - 8 Months
It really is unbelievable how fast the time has flown by. Charlotte is now 8 months and on her way to being independent. She is getting her first tooth, holding her bottle , she is crawling and climbing stair, she can calm herself without me most of the time. Just in the last week she has started to crawl, and already has had a few bruises on her head, but that does not seem to bother her any. She is interested in feeding herself whether it is with her bottle or trying to grab the spoon from my hand. She too is pulling herself up into standing position with the help of the sofa. I have always heard people say " they grow up so fast" and "the time just flies by" but I truly never believed them until I had a a baby of my own. Everyday she surprises us with new things she has learned. Just the other day we too noticed that her looks are changing. She is coming into her own and we could not be more proud. I am so lucky to have been able to stay home with her the last 8 months.

Ladybug Halloween
Halloween night was spent over at Grandma Jeanie's'. Charlotte got all dressed for for pictures. She was so done with having the wear her costume. We trick-or-treated at Grandmas and then we had dinner. On reason we did not go around the neighborhood was 1st It was a pretty chilly, and 2nd Steve and I did not want anymore candy. Earlier in the weeks Charlotte went trick-or-treating at Grandmas work so we had more than enough.

Hockey

The other night we attended our first Grizzles hockey game of the season, and Charlotte attended her first ever hockey game. She did awsome. She was so facinated by all the players skating on the ice, and the noise did not seem to bother her too much, that is until the Grizzles made a goal and the buzzers went off. Although we lost the game, the evening was great.

Sick

Does this look like that face of a sick baby?
After a day of running errands, Charlotte fell asleep in her car seat. Well, I just left her there until she woke up which was not too much longer after we arrived home. She felt a little warm when i picked her up but I figured it was just from sitting in her seat. She sometimes is warm after being in it for a long amount of time. Well as the hour progressed she had started getting rosy checks and nose, and just felt more warm than normal. She was restless and somewhat fussy. After about an hour I went upstairs to her room to take her temp. I was just sick when I saw that the thermometer said 103.0. I gave her some Motrin and took her to Urgent Care. We did not have to wait too long, maybe 10 minutes, but the time ticked by so slowly, and her head, arms, and hands felt to be on fire. She tested negative for H1N1 which I was so glad to hear. It turns out she has a small ear and nose infection. She most likely had a cold, and from that cold she got a horrible fever. I feel horrible that she has had a cold I did nothing about it. She has has a cough for a while now, but never had a runny nose, and never tugged on her ears as if they hurt. She is now on an antibiotic, and that shold help clear the infection. Just before bed I took her temperature again and it was sitting at 99.5, so it is on the way down.
These pictures were taken when we returned home from the Urgent Care. She looks quite ill.
