Thank You !

Thank you Harmons for this ingenious cart which gives me 5 minutes of peaceful grocery shopping. Too bad it does not last longer that 5 minutes.

Riding Lawnmower

I wish this was a post about us getting a riding mower, but alas it is not. Charlotte loves to go for a little ride everytime steve mows the lawn.

Charlotte - 17 Months

It's she BEAUTIFUL ! Everyday she is changing and growing. We look at her in amazement and wonder when our baby became a little girl. She continues to be very active. Running, climbing, playing. She loves to go swimming and loves to swing. She also is very difficult to take out alone. I feel I always need someone with me to entertain her, so I can get done what I need to while out. Grocery shopping, never alone, eating out...forget about it. When she does not get what she wants she screams loud and long and will not stop until she gets what she wants. Sometimes, yes I do give in but not always.

Right now her favorites are yogurt, goldfish, ice chips, diet coke, milk, scrambled eggs and anything macaroni, wearing her Tutu, and hats. Least favorites are toast, chicken, sandwiches, sitting in carts, diaper changes, getting in her car seat, having her hair done, and being told NO.

Everyday truly is an adventure and no two days are the same. I would not want things to be any different than what they are. We are so lucky and truly blessed.

We love you Charlotte LaRue.

This weekend myself and Steve were able to getaway. We left Charlotte with Grandma Jean, and although I do trust my mother completely with Charlotte this was my first night away from her and it was hard to leave. Steve swept me away to Wendover were we stayed at Montegoy Bay. Neither of had been there so we both were not sure what to expect. We had so much fun. I have never been good at Gambling, and Steve is worse than I, but I ended up doing pretty well. I sat at one machine, and a few minutes later I won $140.00, so I cashed out. Sat down at another machine, won $210.00. After that my luck ran out, but I pretty much won back what we spent on food, drinks, and the hotel room.
On our way home, Steve took me out to the famous Bonneville Salt Flats, again never had been there I was not sure what to expect. It was amazing. I had heard of it, and I had a seen a few shows about it, but they never do the places justice. You have to be there and see it to really appreciate it.
I really think it would be so cool to find the time to go out and see some races. After a picture, and another look around we were back on the road and headed home. We had gotten home right when Charlotte woke up from her nap. So of course I rushed up to her room to see her. She greeted me with the biggest some, and hug. I guess she missed me too.
Grandma Jean and Grandpa Bob were both exhausted, after babysitting. We are so grateful that they watched her so Steve and I could get away for a much needed mini-vacation.
