Christmas Eve 2014

Christmas Eve was held at Aunt Joys house. We always seem to have a great time. It is always laid back, and non stressful. 

We all enjoyed a nice dinner together prior to opening gifts.  I ended up getting a horrible cold this night which kept me from enjoying myself too much. But, the kids as always had an amazing time. 

Aunt Joy was taking the RedEYe flight out to NYC so our evening started hours earlier that normal. I was so greatful for that. It was nice to get home and relax some and not have to rush, set up Christmas, and squeeze in some sleep. 

The holidays are certainly a lot different since the loss of my mom. And, I am ever so grateful for Joy and her willingness to take the 2 kids under her wing and love them as she would he own grandchildren.  Joy, and the 2 kids have a lot of genuine love for each other.

Ladies afternoon

Saturday, Charlote and I went out to finish up some Christmas shopping. It was a much needed "Mommy - Daughter date"We went to the mall, and of course Chick-fil-a was her lunch place of choice.

Grandpa Time

These kids are so lucky, and the both love Grandpa Bob so much. 

Bob came over for dinner and visit and we love it when he does. 

Santa Visit 2014

We start off the day with a much need haircut. Merry Christmas too me.

Now, off to see santa. Valley Fair Mall has the best Santa in the valley.So lucly that is a 1 mile drive from the house. Charlotte was asking all day about going to see Santa. So, when the time finally arrived she ran to the car.

Christmas Tree 2014

Time to set up the tree. Always such a fun time and Charlotte really enjoys it. We started our day by having cinnamon rolls for breakfast. 

Seems Corbin really enjoyed them.

This year we added a "Pencil Tree" to our collection. It fits perfectly in the back room, and takes up little space. I actually enjoy it more than the large tree. 

Since, we had to move some furniture around to make room for the tree, we placed to chairs next to the window. This has become Charlotte's favorite spot.

Thansksgiving 2014

Good times with family and way too much food. Yes, Steve was there although he is not pictured anywhere. I was terrible at taking pictures this year.

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Perfomance

Charlotte did such an amazing job, and I knew she was nervous. She had 2 speaking parts and spoke (yelled) her lines with ease. You could tell too that she was proud of herself ,and that is what counts.
