Frustration

As much as I have loved being home with Charlotte, and as much as I would love to continue to stay home, the time has come to back into the workforce.
I have never had such a difficult time finding employment. I have always had responses from my resume, gotten interviews and then offered the job. This is not the case right now, and it is not due to lack of experience, or a poor resume. It is due to the amount of people all looking for a job, and the very few jobs that are out there. Actually there are a lot of jobs out there if you are willing to work for little to no money. It really has reached a point of frustration for me. I have been to some really great interviews, and have been in the final 3 persons for the position, but for some reason I am not the one they are hiring.

I just hope that it is because they have not been the right job for me or my family, and that when the time is right, the perfect position will open up and it will be a match made it career heaven.

An afternoon with the fishes.

This afternoon Charlotte and I went to the Living Planet Aquarium. She was in awww. She loved it. Majority of the time she was pointing at the tanks and saying "whoa". I have never been more happy to have her wearing squeaky shoes since she was all over the place.

One thing that I really loved about the aquarium was that the majority of tanks were eye level for the little ones, and that there was a step in front of all for her to stand on.

Here is Charlotte announcing to all that she was there and that she was excited to see the fishes.
Despite the fact thatI had left my wallet at home, and had to drive all the way back to West Valley, from Sandy, and them back again we had a fun afternoon.

Murray Park

We are loving this warm weather. Getting outside everyday and playing is doing us good. Here are some pictures of some playtime at Murray Park.

Charlotte playing a spirited game of ball with some kids.

Charlotte really loves to get outside and play. I am going to miss days like this when I go back to work.

OUCH !

What a night. My heart is still racing. Charlotte was looking out the front window, and I just gone into the kitchen to finish cleaning up dinner when I heard her fall...then she screamed. The moment I turned the corner I knew some thing was terribly wrong. As I got closer I could see the blood just draining from her mouth. Panic set in and I yelled for Steve. Immediately we could see that she had cut her lip. We tried putting some pressure on it with a towel but she was not having it. Steve gently and ever so often wiped her mouth as she laid on my shoulder screaming and sobbing. This went on for nearly 10 minutes. I could see that "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" was playing on the television, so I took her into the TV room to try and get her mind off of her injury. After some time, she stopped crying and whimpering, and finally calmed down. She ended up with a small cut and a good fat lip. Off to bath to clean her and I up. I looked like I had been though a battle zone, and I felt like it too. Once in the bath she acted as if nothing had happened. She was splashing in the water, chewing on the bath toys. After some time she finally let me look at her upper gums and my heart sank.

She has got 4 teeth on the bottom. The width and depth of them gouged her upper gums very bad. They are bloody, swollen, tender and terribly cut up. Just before bed time she bumped her mouth and they bled and she screamed. I feel so bad for her. I know it is going to be a long night for her and for me. we had such a fun day, and it ended in such a terrible way. I hope that a good nights rest helps her heal some and that she feels better by morning.

Fountains

This afternoon, Charlotte and I enjoyed some sunshine at Gateway. She was getting a little restless so when we got to the Olympic fountains and let out to look at the water, Never did I anticipate this nor was I prepared.

She had no fear. She charged right in the fountains yelling and laughing. She honestly had the best time. We will for sure have to do this again. Next time I will be prepared. She was soaked. Totally drenched, and had the biggest smile on her face.

Swim Swim Swim

Have you ever seen a cuter Jellyfish?
Today Charlotte and I had our first Parent and Tot swimming lesson. We had a great time, and Charlotte loved the water. She believed that she could go under water, walk into the deep end and jump off the side into the water, and be just fine. This child has no fear. Today we learned how to climb up the wall of the pool to get out, blowing bubbles and kicking. Sorry there are no pictures of us in the pool, but it was just she and I.

Spring

Finally !
Spring has sprung.
Well for a minute anyway. So, we went on a little walk.
No stroller required.
.

Charlotte received a blister from all her walking. I kissed it better and put a Hello Kitty bandage on it.
Kitties make everything better.

Garden

Went to the garage and found this.

So, this is what I did.

I do not even like onions. I supppose if this onion produces anything I will be handing them out.

Kepping our fingers crossed.

Terrible Ones?

While shopping yesterday afternoon Charlotte threw a tantrum right in the middle of the store. She saw that I had mini babybell cheese in the cart and wanted one. I have never been one to open a package at the store before I have paid for it, but I did this time. Man can this girl scream loud. I could feel everyone eyes on me.

Easter 2010

This year for Easter we all gathered at Grandma Jean's for lunch. I had plans to get Charlotte all dolled up, but she had not been feeling well the last few days, and I thought just an Easter shirt would be more comfortable for her than a dress. Non the less she looked cute.

She loved having cousin Brayden there to play with, and grandma had bought some toys, so there were some new things to keep her attention. This child would not hold still at all this afternoon. She was from here to there. There was no sitting still for pictures, not stopping and smiling at the camera.

What a spoiled little girl. She got 2 Easter baskets this year. She got a Care Bears movie, a Chocolate bunny, a stuffed bunny and a cute outfit, and of course some eggs filled with goodies.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

13 Months

Here we are. Charlotte is sitting a 13 months old and loving life. Everyday it seems she discovers something new, and does something new. Experiencing new food, meeting new people, and getting bigger and stronger. She loves to run around and play. Once she is outside, you had better watch her. She is fast and on the move, usually moving right into the middle of the road.
She is talking all of time, and only she knows what she is saying, with a few exceptions "woah, wow, mama, dada, Gma". I have got her on a pretty great schedule, and I think that having that schedule helps me and her out a lot. Still on bottle, and sleeping through the night. She is stacking toys, and putting things back where they belong, as well as separate items by color. She has a few favorite cartoons, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and Jungle Junction.

We think that she is a GREAT kid, the BEST kid out there ,and our love for her grows daily.

Jelly Sandwich

Just the other day Charlotte enjoyed her first jelly sandwich. I thought maybe it would not be that messy. I was dead wrong. It turned out to be a nightmare, but she looked cute and really enjoyed it and that is what matters.

( the poor thing had terrible allergies this day. Look at those red eyes)

I want to ride my Tricycle

While looking for a swimsuit for Charlotte at Kid to Kid I can across this.
oh yeah....I found a swimsuit too.
