Charlotte has been in a her toddler bed for a week now. And, I wish that I could say that things had gotten better, but it seems they have only gotten worse. She is coming out of her room much more often,  and getting up earlier and earlier. This morning she was up and roaming the house at 545am. Good things Steve was up, or who knows how long she would have been up alone. After 3 failed attempts to get her back to sleep we were all up by 615am.
Later in the day I had mentioned to someone about our morning events and they gave me great advice. Put a baby gate in front of her door. This way she can look out but can not get out. So, this afternoon we tried this since she has not had a successful nap in a week. After an hour of her opening and closing her door and playing in her room, she finally crawled into bed and feel asleep for 45 minutes. She also manage to tear her room apart.

Oh, man this sounds familiar. When we first put Sawyer in his toddler bed he would do the same and when I thought he had fallen asleep, he was really in there destroying his room! He finally got pasted that, but he still tried to get out and so we put the door knob cover on his knob and he could not get out unless we went and got him out, he finally got sick of trying and would just lay down and take a 2 hr nap!We have not had this problem with Sadie. Good luck and hopefully it gets better, it has for us!:)
