Charlotte was so looking forward in day one for her Gravity Dance Center Summer intensive. This was a 3 day class which for beginners was help from 9am to 1pm. Her classes were Hip Hop, Improve and Jazz.
Once Charlotte became settled I headed off and ran a few hours. Maybe gone a little over 2hrs. Once I returned, I could see that she was not herself. Simply standing in the back, unintesered and uncomfortable. Once she saw me she came out was in tears. She was upset about her Hip Hop instructor. Seems there were a few black holes in the ceiling and he said that if you (the kids) are not not listeening the black hools will suck you up. Then, she at one point she was so busy playing with other kids that she didnt get anythikng to eat or drink and she was hungry and thirsty. After a good 20 minutes I was able to calm her down. Get some food and drink in her, and peptalk her for her improve class. At first she was reluctant but ended up loving the class. It became her favorite.
Day 2~
Day two was so improved from day one. She loved all her classes and teachers. She met a few girls to eat her lunch with did a great job dancing. It is amazing the things she can do once she feels comfortable and confident. She really is a great dancer.
Day three and charlotte hoped that she stay another 4hrs once the beginner class ended and the advance started class again. From the pictures below you can see on her face what a great time she was having.
At the end of day 3 a showcase was scheduled to show us parents what the kids had been up to the last 3 day and she what our money went towards ($90 for Charlotte).
In the end the instensive was a success and she learned a lot.
